Amazon is launching a $2 billion climate fund according to their 2020 Sustainability Report. But it does not adequately address some fundamental issues. What companies need to focus on is the reductions in absolute emissions after all. Hopefully Amazon will focus on absolute emission reductions, include all its scope 3 emissions and stop selling cloud computing services to the fossil fuel sector.
